So, today I decided to install some more mods. (I'm on mac, by the way.) So I THINK I install them in the right place, but something goes horribly wrong. On startup, it crashes at the Mojang screen and I get an error message. So, I go into Library/Application Support/Minecraft and delete it. Now, when I go back, it starts installing again, but I get an error message about 5 seconds after it starts about it failing to launch. I have an idea. I may not have deleted the real minecraft folder. Whenever I'm installing a mod/texturepack i go through the "Open Texturepack Folder". Then I find the stuff. I usually never go through the library directory until now. Please help, can not play until this is fixed.
If you still cant open it there may be a chance that you've put to may mods on there or its to big and you may have to download minecraft again (get rid of every minecraft realated thing not the pics or saves) or if you have back ups just repalace minecraft.jar and place it in the trash
