Hi. I just tried modding Minecraft for the first time today.
I went to %appdata% and deleted the .Minecraft so it would start fresh. I logged in to the game so it would create the bin folder. I went into minecraft.jar via WinRAR and deleted META-INF.
Now, I have minecraftforgejavadoc1 (zip folder) ModLoader (Zip Folder) Toomanyitems (Zipfolder) and divine RPG (.jar).
I have tried using Forge and Modloader and neither seems to work...no mods will work at all with the game
Most mods that require Forge is Minecraft Forge Universal... idk what javadoc1 is... try experimenting around. Try installing the RPG mod without TMI. Sence the RPG mod is a .jar file, try placing it the .Minecraft/bin folder, not the Minecraft.jar file itself. Don't worry, modding Minecraft for the first time is a real pain in the butt Glad I could help! Comment again if it doesn't work.
I tried your suggestion, and it didn't work. I've played Minecraft unmodded for about a year and wanted to try it with mods. I put in ModLoader and when I started up the game it created new files in the .minecraft.
Config
ModLoader
ModLoader.txt.Ick
But it does not work in game at all, nor does divine RPG. Perhaps I am installing ModLoader incorrectly?
OK. I think I found the problem. At the top of the thread, you stated that one of the files you had was minecraftforgejavadoc1, which is the forge javadoc download, not the universal one. You need to get the forge universal download, and then follow the install instructions.
