I know there's a lot of these threads around, but none of them really explain my problem or fix it. I installed forge on my computer, and it worked once. I closed the client, reopened it, and now it just black screens after popping up and setting everything up. I'm not sure what happened or why. I was wondering if anyone can help me.
I am using the most recent minecraft, forge, and Java.
I downloaded the universal RAR and, deleted META from Minecraft.jar, and copy-pasted everything into Minecraft.jar.
Forge has a META folder in it. If you are just playing single-player then go into your minecraft.jar again after you've installed forge (i.e. copied everything from the forge file into minecraft.jar) and you will see there is another META folder. Delete that and it should work. Otherwise re-download minecraft again, start with a clean minecraft.jar, and try again?
