Howdy!, it kinda bites that for my first post I'm asking for help, but what can ya' do?!...
anyway, i just started playing MC about a week ago after watching Direwolf20's Let's Play series4... and while browsing around here on the forums I saw this mod: http://www.minecraft...#entry14300263 that I would love to add to my game, running the FTB 5.1.0, and going in to the "edit modpack" tab, it shows up in the "enabled" side of the FTB window, but when I start the actual game, it's ignored and not visible in even cheat mode, and non-functional otherwise... it seems the FTB mod-pack loader is incompatible with the Risugami's loader needed for the 9*9 mod... ok... but... why should it make a difference as to which program actually unzips the files and places them in the correct folders??
so basically my two questions are: 1) what is the fundamental difference between them that prevents me from using the "edit modpack" function in FTB to add the zip file of the actual mod? 2) would I be able to manually add the various files that are currently zipped up into their correct folders to get it to run without using EITHER ONE of those loaders?
[1.2.5] Direwolf20 9*9 House mod v1.2.2 (Updated 18/04/12)
OK, not trying to be obtuse, but i just want to verify... it is not showing up because it's outdated? or because the incompatibility between the mod-loader's that it *needs* the Risugami one but I'm using the other?... I'm hoping that it's just because it's old and I did everything right!
forge (which FTB uses) has modloader built into is so alot of modloader mods may work with forge (depending on how the mod was written i believe)
but as the mod is pre 1.3 when a major code change came in it will not work.
My suggestion (which i meant to do on my FTB Direwolf world but forgot untill now) is to build a turtle, and do a quick google for computercraft 9x9, then use the built in pastebin get command to grab the script and let the turtles do the building for you, more fun way
It's old and no longer works with MC1.4.7... cool... i took a look at the google results for turtle programming like you said and there are some pretty neat ones out there. i'm not really familiar with turtles though as i haven't yet gotten around to using them yet. but this might step up the relative priority for me now.
again, thanks...
