I am at my wits end...Ive already reinstalled minecraft 10 times already. I do exactly what the forum tells me to do and I just end up with a black screen. Please, PLEASE sometime give me step by step instructions on how to install it, what I have to instal whether it be forge or some other random crap. I just cant understand mods but I so desperately want to try this one..its so frustrating, please help!!

If you end up with just a black screen you probably forgot to remove the meta-inf folder in your minecraft .jar
And please post a link to the mod thread so we can read the instructions provided by the author to see if their is anything specific, but here is an install process that should work for most mods :
1. open your .minecraft/bin folder (to find it type %appdata% in your file browser adress bar)
2.with a software such as 7zip or winrar open up minecraft.jar
3.delete the meta-inf folder
4.Download the recommend build of minecraft forge here
5.open the forge .zip file and drag and drop all of its content into minecraft.jar
6.close the minecraft.jar, and start minecraft, forge will initialized itself, when you get to the main screen, quit the game
7.There should now be a mods folder in your .minecraft directory, copy the mod .zip file in it
8.Start minecraft and enjoy
