Before you say it, yes I have searched and found other people with the same problem but no, none of their solutions worked for me. Anyway, a little while ago I downloaded a x-ray mod (not for hacking purposes) which can be found here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/867079-147-xray-mod/. I was using it and it was fine and dandy but suddenly my screen started flickering, making my hotbar, and my tool flicker. So I thought is must be a problem with the mod. I loaded up my backup minecraft and it still was flickering. So I deleted the minecraft file and the application and re-downloaded it. It still wouldn't work! I had not installed any mods and it flickered! If anyone has any solutions I will love you so much for it! Please help!
So I have a similar problem. Today I updated my graphics drivers and couple hours ago when I tried to play feed the beast it ran fine at first but then it started flickering around the edges after about 10 minutes. After a while it got on my nerves and i tried to fix it. I tried changing my monitor settings. I even went as far as to downgrading my graphics drivers, but that didn't work.
Vanilla minecraft does it too btw. I'm at a loss here as to what to do so I can't play minecrqft either and apparently this problem is on both windows and mac.

Installed Memory: 6GB
System Type: 64x, and 64x based processor
Processor: Intel Core i3-4130 CPU @ 3.40Hz 3.40 GHz
Computer type: AlienWare, Windows 8.
