Hello,
MineCraft is getting on my nerves. If I save and quit in the Nether, when I log back in, the nether will NOT save. My inventory does, but not the blocks that I mine, and my nether portal will disappear. I do have 3 mods installed: Optifine, Rei's Minimap, and Matmos. If anyone knows how to fix this, I would really appreciate it.

I don't know what to say. Optifine and Rei's minimap should be fine, as I always use OptiFine and sometimes Rei's minimap together.
Don't know about Matmos. Play without the mods, and if there is no errors, then it probably was Matmos' fault.

Could be OptiFine.

1. Hit Escape
2. Options
3. Video Settings
4. Other
5. AutoSave time

I suggest making it 20 seconds, as the shorter it is the slower your game is.

If you plan on staying in the nether for long periods of time; change it to something bigger.

Neither helped. I also have one other mod, the MC capes mod. I got rid of Matmos and it still didnt work.

The problem only effects one of my worlds. The other ones save normally. Please help I have to go into creative and make a new portal back if i save and quit in the nether, and its cheating too, cause anything I mine just comes back.One more thing, it takes a while to load up, showing me "Downloading terrain" for about 20 seconds when I log back into the Nether.
P.S. I force updated minecraft, so I have no mods. It still doesnt work.

That mean's you have a corrupt level files, try running it on a server.

Oh. If my level is corrupt, how can I fix it? Will I have to delete it? I only need to keep the Overworld. If I have to remove the nether or something I would be happy to, just how do I fix this. I can't run it on a server cause I have no clue how to.

FIXED! All I did was delete the folder DIM-1. This fixed the problem. Thanks for helping, the part about corrupted world files got me thinking if the Nether was corrupted, then I might just need a new Nether.
