I've got a fancy new computer with a nice 32 Gig memory. But I can't get it to run on more than 1024MB of it.
According to Task Manager, with Skype on a call, Pandora running, the Wiki open and my Headset manager running, (the most I imagine myself doing with Minecraft open, really) I've still got over 27,000 MB of memory available. And I just want to run it on 8 gigs, for now.
I'm using the Magic Launcher (since I like Optifine's advanced options and zoom function) and if I try to run Minecraft with more memory, I get this:
MagicLauncher 1.0.0
java.home: C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7

java.runtime.version: 1.7.0_13-b20

The specified size exceeds the maximum representable size.
If I try any other amount, higher than 1024MB, I get the same exact error message, but with whatever memory amount I'm trying.

I've also tried the method listed here: http://www.minecraft...-for-minecraft/
But that didn't work either. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
Or rather, Minecraft simply thinks I put too much.
I just need to know how to show it the error of its ways.

Moderatorit should be calling C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\java
32bit java can't handle more than around 1.5G
Thanks.
Thank you very much.
It's still running at like 10fps though, and only using a small fraction of the available memory.
Dangit.
