a friend of mine has made a 300 X 300 X to sky limit room, no sun what so ever can get through, however, he is seeing strange light splotches in the roof, he has tried making a hollow double layer, no effect, he has tried playing with his settings, to no avail.
It is on tekkit lite but I too have run across the same glitches in regular MC. I have seen this glitch posted before, a while ago, but am hoping some one has found a fix? maybe a plug in, or a setting to change, or a way to null it away??

Sometimes i see glitches like this. What i find fixes some lighting glitches is to place a torch next to the lighting bugs then remove it. It SHOULD fix it. If it doesn't i will experiment with some lighting glitches for you. i would also like to know what version of minecraft you are using. that's all.
I have the same problem, but your torch solution hasnt managed to make any difference? any other ways? i have plugins and tekkit lite at my disposal, so theres alot of changes i could do to the game
