Just wanted to start by saying I am both new to the forum and new to modding in Minecraft. I was hoping for some answers about installing a particular mod.
Recently I have been looking into playing with a shader and ended up getting Sonic Ether's Unbelieveable Shaders. Following the steps of a youtube video ( providing the video below ) I managed to get everything done, and after completeing the final steps with in the magiclauncher and getting the OK I started the game.
Got the black screen at startup that leaves me unable to play. Looking through the files I know I have the latest versions of each of the programs used, is there something else I am missing?
Greatly appreciate the help, and please let me know about any forum faux pas I have made so I can correct them!
Yeah, had to do so to even get magiclauncher to give me the ok for optifine and the shader pack. Is there just issues with 1.4.7 that have not been ironed out yet? Does anyone have shaders working in 1.4.7?
I do not, actually I am unsure as to what that even is =)
I tried the entire process again and I found that it is telling me optifine 1.4.6_HD_U_A3 is now "Not compatible". Not sure what changed from the last time I did it where I had it telling me it was ok
I ended up deleting my mcfolder and starting the exe. file again for a fresh start, without using the magiclauncher I dropped the optifine and shader packs into my .jar and deleted the meta-inf. Worked flawlessly. Now all I need to do is learn how to adjust the shader pack to be smoother and such!
