My 10 year old son was adding the tornado mod loader to minecraft (MC).

He had successfully loaded 3 other mods previously.

He had first installed ForgeModLoader for the first 3 mods and then installed the ModLoader for the Tornado mod. Now we are getting this message when starting MC:


ModLoader was detected in this environment. ForgeModLoader cannot be installed alongside ModLoader. All mods should work without ModLoader being installed because ForgeModLoader is 100% compatible with ModLoader . Re-install MineCraft Forge or ForgeModLoader into a clean jar and try again.

After reading this message he tried to re-install ForgeModLoader and delete ModLoader but it isn't clear exactly what steps were done when doing this.

Any help on how to get out of this mess would be appreciated.

OK, I have an update.

We read through the document to get a "clean" jar file and downloaded one and now MC is work. He will now be more careful when adding any mods and loaders.

I cannot say exactly what he has been doing except that he watches youtube videos on how to install mods and loaders and then does it.

Hopefully this will be a good lesson to take things a bit slower.
