So I recently attempted to add a mod to Minecraft on my mac and when I open Minecraft, it doesn't load. Like I log into my account and then it's a black screen. I tried waiting for it a little, thinking maybe it was just attempting to load the mods, but then I realized I was waiting for about 40 minutes, and nothing happened. If you guys could help me, I would really appreciate it! Thanks!

I'm not on a mac but that problem sounds like you didn't delete the META-INF file from your minecraft.jar
Exit the window, and when you open it again, hit "Options" (Right above "Login") and then "Force Update" It will refresh your .jar and you can try and reload the mod properly.
