Hi, I am looking to edit the minecraft.exe so that it will download a custom.jar file that we require our players to download to play on our modded server. The minecraft.jar contains Metallurgy and Forge and we placed all these in the minecraft.jar to simplify the install process for our players. We would like to simplify it farther by just supplying a Minecraft.exe that will download our custom minecraft.jar from our website and install it to a different folder so that it does not conflict with our players vanilla installations.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.
You may want to read this page https://minecraft.net/terms
Making a custom jar (adding mods to the minecraft.jar) and passing it out is against the T&C's.
Looking at the way the FTB launcher works it downloads the jar from minecraft server, then the mods from whereever they are held (creeperhost i think) then does the patching for you. Thats all fine.
Speaking of FTB they do have an option for custom mod packs for people just like you to use, have a look on their forums
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

Also can you create mod packs for FTB? Cause they do not have one with metallurgy.
