I hope im not being stupid to ask but, where do I put it in .minecraft? does it matter if im using a HP laptop for mods?

You have to put it in the .minecraft/codemods folder.

Close Minecraft.

That doesn't look like you installed GuiAPI.
Make sure you are downloading the latest version from here: http://www.minecraft...ed-gui-toolkit/
If you aren't getting the mods from these forums that could be the majority of the problem.

Post the forge log, if you still have problems.
The forge log is: ForgeModLoader-client-0.log
You can find it in the .minecraft folder.

In the forge log, it doesn't look like GuiAPI was installed at all.

In the second log, you have it installed into the minecraft.jar, that's not where it goes.

I'm going to suggest you use MultiMC to install mods. You can get MultiMC here: http://www.minecraft...dows-linux-mac/
There are a few videos in the MultiMC thread that explain the basics of how to use it.
I've also put together a few pictures (below) to help you get Mo' Creatures working with MultiMC.

I'm going to suggest you use MultiMC to install mods. You can get MultiMC here: http://www.minecraft...dows-linux-mac/
There are a few videos in the MultiMC thread that explain the basics of how to use it.
I've also put together a few pictures (below) to help you get Mo' Creatures working with MultiMC.

but why doesn't it work on normal minecraft on my laptop? like I cant run the normal minecraft without it crashing. do I need to this all th time?

So your normal minecraft is still messed up from you trying to install the mods manually.

So yes, to play with Mo Creatures, you need to use MultiMC every time you want to play.

Yes, it will return the client to the latest version of minecraft (not snapshot version)
