Not sure if this is the write section to post in but, I couldn't find any Help section.

Alright so, when I open my Minecraft, log in, and there is two options:

New update avalible
Would you like to update?
Yes No

When I click Yes. It doesn't load at all...

When I click no, it loads completly but.. BOOM black screen.

I have waited for hours for it to load; it never does.

Before this happened(I will tell you) my Minecraft worked correctly and smoothly. No errors ever popped up.

Now, how it happened:
I downloaded an Aether thing, and somehow it deleted my minecraft.jar file. Now, is there other .jar files in the 'bin' folder or any other types of files that are needed to run the game? And, could I possibly download those files?
Also, I deleted everything for my Minecraft and reinstalled it, but it didn't work.

Please help me, I really need to play my Minecraft. o_o I NEED TO!!

I don't know what o do about the update thing but just go to options. It's right above log in. Then click on force update. Log in and you should be good.

It didn't work.

try deleting the whole .minecraft folder

Delete .minecraft, and launch the game. It should redownload and play.

Yeah, just delete .minecraft. It'll redownload.

How long does the redownloading take, exactly?

delete the WHOLE .minecraft folder,as in all saves,all in bin,everything!Then redownload it

I did but it didn't work. I will try again.

It doesn't redownload though... The .jar file is still missing.. :\

Try backing up your saves, deleting EVERYTHING related to minecraft, and redownloading the entire game using minecraft.net

Okay, I am gonna delete everything I have of Minecraft and redownload it. Hope it works.
