Hi. I have been attempting to download some mods for my son for minecraft. I tried first to download the TMI mod directly, using a youtube video. I thought I followed it 100% correctly, but it did not work. I then tried to download modloader. Again, that did not seem to work.
All I seem to have achieved is to stop minecraft from working!! Here's the error message I get:

I should add that he had some mods a few months ago but they disappeared when he updated to 1.4.5 (we are now using 1.4.7). I've deleted the contents of the mods, coremods, config folders, as recommended elsewhere, but that did not cure it.
I'm running windows 7 on a pretty new ACER computer.
Any ideas on how to fix this? I've got one very upset boy on my hands!
Thank you for this advice. Can I ask you, though, how do I "force update" minecraft? I read somewhere that you do it from the "options" tab in minecraft, but when I click on options in my son's version of minecraft there is no tab or symbol for "force update". Cheers.
