As the title says every time I make a new map I crash or if not its a large amount of lag (which usually is what usually happens when loading the map) but instead of just being laggy for a little bit it stays forever.
So if its not lagging at around 20-30fps making a new world gives me a crash report, I've tried a couple times and have gotten a few crash reports now, I restarted my computer but it seemed to have no affect.

This is one of the maps I play on and the frames I get
This is what kinda fps I've gotten today.
Not really sure if I've changed any settings though using Optifine I haven't had any problems until now, also I haven't tried survival in awhile since I've been working on a custom map for a few months but I thought I'd take a break from that just to build a house and this is the problem I run into.
For spec related questions
I have a Radeon HD5670 1gb
Intel Core i5 2300cpu @ 2.8ghz
12 gb of ram
Win7 64bit
again not sure why its acting weird like this I just thought I'd upload the crash reports but apart from that I'll reinstall minecraft to see what happens.
Bump it still affects my minecraft client any new map I make after the 1.4.6 update gives me lag while all my old maps don't this is both considering me looking into the distance to load chunks out in the open, is there no one that can help with this?, I've given a lot of information.
Try reducing the amount of memory you are allocating. I'd suggest bumping it back down to default of 1G.
Giving java too much memory can actually degrade performance.
Yeah I already tried that before what is annoying though is that in one of my saves with 8gb of ram has no frame lag what so ever and the other save a freshly created one with 8gb or even just 1gb I still get lag. The one thing I noticed though was it was an optifine problem, I was talking with my brother and he had similar problems so I ended up reinstalling optifine well, an updated version.
It actually made the save that previously had no problems with frames actually lag more, I took it off completely uninstalling it and again lag spikes everywhere, what I don't get though is if its a client problem a mod problem or both but from the looks of it it just seems like its a client issue, Can't seem to find the cause of the problem though. I guess i just won't play survival for a bit, I only intended to just for a break from my custom map thats about 80% done but since new maps cause low frames and doesn't affect the map I'm on for the custom map I guess I really can't complain but not really happy either I really llked survival it would have helped just for a little break at least.
Well anyways thanks for the reply but yeah sorry I've already tried it, Hopefully I can find a solution or maybe even minecraft will just fix itself randomly within a night or so without updating or anything lol, I guess dreaming doesn't hurt.
Oh yeah forgot to mention the map and well every map that I try that gives lag is after the 1.4.6 update just freshly made maps, while on the other hand every map I have from 1.4.5 and below don't lag at all, its really odd, but yeah like I said updated optifine and no difference the new maps still lag the old maps still lag but its only just intial loading lag.
I found a solution to my problem
first off it was a change in optifine settings but I only have to do this in order to not lag in new maps made from the 1.4.6 update I mean all my old maps don't lag at all but something I guess either chunk loading or some other type of setting must have been changed for maps in that update because it only affects those new maps. So I guess the only real problem I had was having to change a few settings due to the update which is kinda stupid but oh well, I guess another solution would be to downgrade and stay at 1.4.5 lol but I'll eventually need hoppers in the near future.
That aside Thanks Hidinginthelight for being the only one that tried to help me lol, I can now play survival with around 60-80 frames while walking around and strangely enough 80-120 frames looking into the distance while the chunks load lol.
