Recently I got a new computer, the MSi GT60 laptop with the Nvidia 670m. I have Optifine installed for the HD texture support, and when I load up the texture pack, it feels really laggy, yet the debug screen shows 60FPS (when I have VSync enabled) and when I don't, it shows ~130. This is pretty weird, I'm using the Default Realism 512x pack (I'll link when I get time, in a hurry kind of now). I actually launched with more RAM, which it could have something to do with but I did it with a batch script and ran it with the Nvidia graphics and not the Intel integrated GPU.
Any help would be appreciated, sorry if this makes no sense, I'm kind of tired.

512x is very slow for me too, and i have a Nvidia GTX 660 and a AMD Phenom Black.
I suggest just sticking to 256x if it's a really big thing for you to have maximum block detail.
