Hey guys! I really have no idea where to put this, so hopefully someone here will see it and might be able to help me out.
When 1.4.6 came out, I was excited about the new TC3 and installed it along with a ton of other mods immediately. It worked perfectly fine, spawning regular monsters, zombies, Thaum-Zombies and Thaum-fire bats, and I played the world save, happy as could be while I waited for Mo'Creatures to update.
Recently, Mo'Creatures was updated, so I went and installed that along side TC3. When I create new worlds, the Mo'Creatures animals spawn in almost immediately; birds chirp, foxes hunt, wolves howl. At night, Wraiths, undead horses, and werewolves also appear.
The issue is, when I open my old world that didn't have Mo'Creatures in it (Just TC3 and my other 24 mods), ALL I get are Thaum-zombies. Tons, and TONS of Thaum-zombies. Now, I figured it was just a little bug, and I continued to play the world, realizing that sometimes it takes an MC day or so for the Mo'Creatures animals to start appearing. Well, 2nd MC day rolls around, and I am FINALLY starting to see the water animals- but still no horses, rats, foxes, turkeys, or bears, or.. anything really. Then at night, I get mass Thaum-zombie spawns and NOTHING else- not even vanilla mobs. No skeletons, no creepers, no endermen. I've tried flying VERY far away from the chunk where my house is, but then it seems like NOTHING spawns during the day, and once again, I only get Thaum-zombies at night.
Is there anyway in SP I can just kill everything around me in a large radius (don't care about my farm animals, I can get more) and force the creatures/monsters spawns to reset? Or if I can edit a config/dat file to reset the creatures? This only happens in this world, and it's really bugging me because I worked VERY hard to make this a completely legit world, and I'd like to get the Mo'Creatures animals legit as well; not to mention if no other mobs are spawning, I can't really make things like TNT, or Enderpearls. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.
Have you tried simply going into peaceful, then back into whatever difficulty you were?
Mmk, I flew a chunk away from where my house was, put it to peaceful, waited there a day, flew back to my house, and put it on easy, and I still get the zombies : /
I'm removing Mo'Creatures for a minute to see if that does anything.
Edit: Upon removal, the monsters are spawning normally again. I have spiders, Skeletons, creepers etc. Not sure what to do about that. I want to use Mo'Creatures with this world, but it looks like it might not be backwards compatible with worlds that already had custom creatures spawning in it? I just put it back in while it was night while the normal creatures were spawned, and I'm going to let it go through a day/night cycle to see if that fixed it. If so, I might have to post something about that on the Mo'Creatures thread.
Edit2: Halfway through the night, about 2/3rds of the monsters vanished and Thaum-zombies spawned in mass hordes. *face desk*
Edit3: This is now happening in my new worlds as well where it was working fine last night. I haven't updated any mods between then and now. Think I'll just remove Thaumcraft : /
