Well I've been trying to download Minecraft Forge and everytime it won't work,so I go to options>Force Update>Will Force>Done and when I check my Minecraft 1.4.6 folder with winRAR and the Minecraft Forge stuff is still there.Anyone know the problem?
You seem confused. The "Force Update" feature is there to force Minecraft to download a fresh copy of minecraft.jar, this is useful for when your copy is screwed up, or for some reason your client isn't automatically detecting a newer version available. It has nothing to do with Minecraft Forge, which is a mod for Minecraft, which in turn lets you use other mods.
You don't check your Minecraft folder with WinRAR -- merely the minecraft.jar file itself. That is where mods go, directly into the minecraft.jar file.
I suggest you clear EVERYTHING out of your minecraft folder, and re-download the launcher and re-install Minecraft from fresh. Then install Forge, and whatever other mods you want, as per their instructions.
This will clear up any messed-up configuration you may have.
Did you delete META-INF? Also in the .minecraft folder the forge.txt are still there, you can deete those manually. If you mean the class files in minecraft.jar are still there then delete the minecraft.jar then force update. If you need to delete your .minecraft folder then make sure you back up your saves and texture pack folders first! Also this post does not belong in the mods section.
