This is an interesting (and incredibly aggravating) problem I've very recently run into. Very often, when I'm inside my cave home looking into a particular chest, I'll hear one of my dogs or one of my chickens being hurt. I discovered that, somehow, for some reason, they are getting stuck in the ground/walls when I'm not looking, and most often when looking into my double crap-holding chest. I have NEVER had this problem before, and I have no idea what's causing it. The mods I'm using are:
Buildcraft
-Additional Pipes
Rei's Minimap
Inventory Tweaks (installed after issue occurred)
EE3
NEI
(not including BC child mods and Forge requirements)
I stopped playing MC for a while and didn't play much of vanilla since I've gotten back into it. Pretty much installed these mods from the get-go, so I'm not sure if it's one of the mods causing this problem.
My chicken coup is on top of my home. It's on a hilltop while my chests n' things are in a cave within the hill. I thought at first that this problem was exclusive to my animals kept on top of my hill (a sheep from the pen directly next to the chickens was also found on the ground out of its pen), but then one of my dogs, inside my home with me, got stuck in a wall and almost died. I found and dug him out, but when I went to go back into my chest, the same dog got stuck again and died.
Any info on what's causing this would be greatly appreciated.

I think this bug isn't caused by mods.
I think it's a minecraft bug.
Seriously? Cause this is really impeding the creation of my farm. Which is kind of a necessity seeing as I have seemingly caused the extinction of all the pigs and cows in my world.
I suppose I could just try moving the pens further away from my home. Maybe that would help. Any known fixes or workarounds?
