So I tried to get Industrial Craft on my computer. Did the sequence of ModLoader/Minecraft Forge, and Industrial Craft 2.
I was able to play Minecraft but the mod wasn't active.
Well now I am without a working version of Minecraft. I put my laptop into sleep mode, when I reopened it and went to open Minecraft it reads "Can't connect to Minecraft.net". I tried a forced update and it wont go through. So I got ed, saved all the files externally and deleted all of the Minecraft files. Re downloaded it and now its the same thing, will not "Can't connect to Minecraft.net" and then when I go into my library folder for Minecraft there are no files at all!!!!
I can transfer some of the old files back into the Library/Minecraft folder and get minecraft to work but I can't connect to the server, its also still vanilla.
So what can I do? I am about ready to reinstall my mac OS and restart all of this.
Well that would explain some stuff. Well I just checked and it shows they are back up, so I logged into my account and wouldn't you know it, it took. However now I'm still stuck on the white Mojang page. This only happens when the IndustrialCraft2 ".jar" file is in the mod folder, and yes I have deleted the "META-INF" before I added any of the files from Minecraft Forge. What could it be now?
Alright I am using:
Minecraft Forge Universal 1.4.6-6.5.0.471
Industrial Craft2 1.111.138-If.jar
From what I'm seeing the Forge is working correctly as when I open Minecraft without the IC2 in the mod folder the app opens and I see all the signs of a modded interface, games work and everything. Its once I put that file into the mod folder.
The version of industrial craft you are trying to install is for minecraft version 1.4.5.
You need to use the version for 1.4.6.
Mods are picky to the version of minecraft.
Industrial craft hasn't been fully released for 1.4.6 yet, but there is an open beta version that you can use for now. I've been using it with out issue, so it seems stable enough.
