I'm struggling with a persistent problem- I cannot get any mods to work.
Using Minecraft 4.1.6
Java 64 bit
Forge Mod Loader is installed (directly added zip file contents to minecraft.jar) and appears to load correctly.
I've created a folder called "mods" within the .minecraft directory.
When there are no mods within that folder, minecraft starts fine, indicating there are 3 mods (in the MODS button upon startup) that include:
Minecraft Coder Pack 7.25
Forge Mod Loader 4.6.14.513
Minecraft Forge 6.5.0.481
However, if I add any mod packages to the mods folder, upon startup, minecraft errors out with an Unloaded->Error report.

Welcome to the forums!
You are using Forge 6.5.0.481 which is known to have lots of problems.
Update your forge to Forge 6.5.0.489 and it should work.

Forge 6.5.0.489 gives an error with Minecraft 1.4.6 saying it only works with Minecraft 1.4.7 (still Beta?), so would it be wise to wait until it's released to begin playing with the mods? I could stick with vanilla Minecraft 'till then, I guess.
