LAN troubles- only 1 mod installed

Hey, so I was playing a LAN server with my brother earlier today, and now when I try to connect it just says "Connecting to server". Both our connections are fine, he has no mods and the only mod I have is optifine. I'm not sure what is wrong, we were playing earlier (I had optifine then too) but now I can't connect. Any one have an idea of whats going wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

He is hosting it. And yep we are both on the same network. But as I mentioned earlier, this has worked before...
