Hi, I'm having trouble running a minecraft server. Currently I'm using the FTB client with mindcrack mods, same for my brother. Now we both have the server files and when he runs it it works fine. I can connect to his server and play on the lan, however the game frequently lags and it I think it might be because of his bad upload speed (he's on wireless, I'm directly connected). Then I host the server but he can't connect. Gets the can't find server error. Everything is the same both ways but he can't find my hosted server. Any ideas? Thanks

A suggestion would be for both of you to get optifine. As far as the can not connect, if you intend to use lan, make sur you are connected. If you are rnot able to use lan, and are running a server, your bigest problems would be internet speed, and the ram of the computer. Not enough ram would cause a server to lag alot and possible crash it.

Thanks but I was hoping for more lan server help. It works out better having my computer host the server and so any help in figuring out why he's unable to connect would be much appreciated. Thanks

Make sure the server is set up and that he isnt making a sevrer in the server menu. Other than that, i cant help you. We would need more information to help any further. (I dont know what this information is though, so dont ask)
