I've installed Optifine before, and really quite love it, but once I opened it having updated to 1.4.6 I was informed there was a new version available for Optifine Standard. I decided to do a clean install of the mod and was met with a black screen. I've definitely made sure to delete the META-INF folder, so that can't be the solution. I've installed the mod before so I don't think I'm doing anything wrong. I then tried to revert to the working version of Optifine for 1.4.3 and that started giving me the black screen too.
Is there any solution to this problem or am I forced to stick with vanilla Minecraft (which is noticeably different than with Optifine, needless to say)?
