I had the issue of being stuck moving in one direction, so I downloaded the new lwjgl library as suggested elsewhere and had that problem fixed.
My new problem is whenever I'm moving and I swing whatever's in my hand I suddenly stop moving. If I try moving again while swinging I start moving again, but this is still pretty inconvenient behavior for combat (which I haven't started in this world yet, but I don't want that to be an issue when I do finally have to fight something). I can still jump while moving, so vertical movement isn't an issue, just swinging things is an issue. Anyone know what's up?
(also, is it weird that I can't constantly swing while holding down the mouse button? It's not an issue when I'm breaking a block, so I forget if this isn't supposed to be the case).
Check to make sure there's no conlict with your input peripherals, especially if wireless. Try doing the same actions in another progam and see if it happens there too (conflict between keyboard and mouse operating simultaneously), and if not, investigate the trouble in MC further.
E: Also check batteries if you are using wireless stuff, happens to me sometimes too.

But the thing is it wasn't doing this before I modded it, and I didn't do a restart either, so unless there's something in the new library I can't see how suddenly I would have things conflicting with one another.
The latest stable version of lwjgl does that as of now.
The only solution is to downgrade it which can cause sticky keys which you experienced in the past.

ugh, is there a version that won't do either? Are there only so many versions?
