Ever since the 1.4.5 update, I have been having a major issue with the lighting.
First off, I have the light level set all the way down to "Moody," but the light is so bright it's like I have it turned all the way up.
Secondly, the illumination pulses from light to dark randomly. The effect is strongest in the Nether, when the light will jump back and forth from light pink to dark red and back to light pink over and over again for about five seconds at a time.
Lastly, sometimes the light will fix and become as dark as it should be for the "Moody" setting, but will then revert to being bright again.
I have Optifine, ForgeMod, GuiAPI, and Dr. Zhark's Mo' Creatures Mod installed.
This bug does not happen on my other world, which I've had for several months now, only the world I created after 1.4.5 came out.
If anyone has any suggestions as to why this is happening and how I can fix it, please reply.
Very strange, do you have an ATI card? I've heard optifine has a few issues with ATI these days. Also is your monitor not perhaps set to dynamically adjust brightness? Sometimes I can get what you're getting with this setting on but since it doesn't happen in your old world thats quite unlikely.... So my suggestion, try without optifine.
