Hey everyone, so I have a major problem here. I hadn't played minecraft in awhile so I had to reinstall it along with the corresponding mods:
Optifine 1.4.5
Rei's Minimap 1.4.5
I also remembered to delete the META-INF folder as well. Yes I used WIN-RAR, and yes I transferred all of the files from each mod.
So, to the problem. I put them in the minecraft.jar folder and then started up minecraft. "Can't Connect." Appeared, so I played offline mode for awhile and my mods worked fine with offline mode. Eventually I started to get bored of single player so I reinstalled minecraft and moved the mods in again to the fresh files. BOOM. Still says I'm offline. But here's the tricky thing: When I reinstalled minecraft the third time and kept the mods out, I was able to play online on some servers.
So really, I need to know what is happening. I can do easily without Rei's Minimap because I know it's not allowed on most servers anyways but optifine is almost always a MUST for me because my computer is not a top end gaming one.
Any advice would be very helpful.
