I am having difficulty with playing single player tekkit on a Mac. When I open a world I have been play on, or start a new one, I am able to play for ~3 seconds until I get "Saving Chunks" and it goes to a permanent white screen... I have not seen a crash screen or anything, and I am begging for some one to help me... I have googled the problem and none of the cases match mine, or any of the solutions work. Please help!
Don't allocate more than 768 MB-1 Gb of memory to MC.
And use FTB instead of Tekkit. Far superior in every aspect.
What is FTB? I came becuse I had the same problem (on my PC) and I was hoping someone might have the answer. I tried increasing my ram from 1 GB to 2 but had the same result. If FTB is better I might give is a try and ditch Tekkit.
FTB (Feed The Beast) is originally a map designed for a set bunch of mods to be played on, its a sky block / CTM (complete the monument) type of map.
But slowpoke (the map maker/designer) has developed a mod pack that encompasses all the mods together for ease of playing.
The pack has all the mods and more that technic has, and unlike technic this modpack is being made with the mod devs permission and help.
