I recently wanted to start Modding my minecraft, because i've seen so many minecraft mods that i want to try that aren't on the Yogbox or Technic packs. So I went through the steps given to me online of how to install modloader and the mods. I put the "Secret rooms" Mod into my Mod folder just as i was instructed by various youtube videos. and when i try to start Minecraft I get this:

ModLoader 1.3.2
mod_TooManyItems 1.3.2 2012-08-16
"Secret rooms" is an incredibly simple mod. It adds a different redstone torch which looks like a regular one and it has various hidden doors and just simple things it's not Mocreatures it is Honestly just ONE mod. And i've tried using different mods but i get similar crash reports... The only thing i've gotten to work on my minecraft so far is the TooManyItems mod. And that's because it goes straight into the minecraft.jar File. And before anyone asks:
Yes i did get the most recent Mod loader, And all the mod's i have tried have been updated within the past few days. Can ANYONE help me?
Modloader is very touchy-specific. There's only a few crucial steps, some of which you've covered, but...
1) Yes, the version must be identical to the MC version as you mentioned
2) You can only drag and drop ML into a completely clean, untouched MC jar. Not HD texture patched, ...nothing. Modloader needs to be the first thing that happens to your jar. If you've done anything else, you must get a new one before you try again.
3) Immediately after adding ML, you must delete the META inf file or you will get a black screen. That is before you run MC.
Far as I know, that's really it. Right versions, fresh jar, delete META inf. That worked for me anyway. Good luck.

I did everything in that order though. this is exactly what i did.
1. Located my .minecraft folder and made a shortcut on my desktop.
2. Made a copy of the folder on my desktop so as to backup all current data.
3. Opened my bin folder and opened Minecraft.jar in Winrar
4. extracted all Files from Modloader into Minecraft.jar and Pressed Add and Replace files
5. Deleted META-INF
6. Ran Minecraft so that my minecraft folder would generate a "Mods" Folder
7. Placed the Mod i wanted to try into the folder
8. Started up Minecraft and it crashes right after i see the Mojang Symbol
Ok i figured out that i needed Minecraft Forge to run the mods... *facepalm* But now when I try to run it It starts up, Forge does its thing and then I see the Mojang symbol. Right after the mojang symbol it goes black.
Yes I deleted meta-inf yes i deleted the Mods folder before i redid the Mod loader
I keep Getting this too. Whenever I try to get on sigle or multiplayer, It crashes as soon I get on. PLz help I REALLY want to play!!!!! *sniff* I miss !!!!!and and and and and
