My son's minecraft crashed (start screen goes blank in black) after I tried to remove the gem plus mod from the McModder V1 and also trying to reinstall the toomanyitems mod. I was trying to remove the gem looking landscape but failed. Please help. Any way to reinstate the minecraft?
Sure thing, you'll need to force update the client. It'll restore it back to before you did any modifying to it.
You need to click options, in the bottom right corner, near where you type in your username and password.
Then click the Force Update button.
Should fix things right up.
After that, you'd need to put back in the mods that you want.
I've no idea what mcmodder is, but if you are looking for an easy way to add and remove mods, I suggest looking at MultiMC. There are a few videos in the thread that explain how to use it, it's pretty simple, videos maily just show where things are int he program.
Thanks very much. Minecraft is restored after your instructions. I am checking out on your recommendations of the MultiMC. Looks pretty cool but first have to upgrade my mac to 10.6. Thanks again.
