I would love some help in fixing my mods.
I downloaded ModLoader, and a few mods, copied the files into the "Mods" folder, and the game started crashing. I deleted the Timber mod as that was causing the crashes, and now I can load the game correctly, however, the mods aren't working, none of them.
I have Mo' Creatures, Plastic Craft, and Seasons Mod.
Any help with getting these fixed would be appreciated.
Forge contains a more powerful version of ModLoader. If you install it, then, you are also automatically installing ModLoader (and AudioMod).
Forge is required for the Seasons Mod, with a minimum build of 341 for Minecraft 1.4.2. The Seasons Mod is also an internal mod, meaning it's files go into your Minecraft.jar, not externally in your mods folder.

Ok, so I would install Forge (Just like I do with mod loader, Delete Meta-INF, Copy files from forge into the Minecraft.jar, Close, and make sure everything is saved, then install mods in the mod folder?)
For the seasons, would I have to open the .jar file for the seaons mod, copy and paste in the Minecraft.jar files as well?
Also, should I have an AudioMod folder in my minecraft folder, or no? I installed forge the way I did ModLoader, then put Mo'Creatures file in the Mods folder, and it still isn't working properly, even with the force update. Do I have to copy the files, or copy/paste Mo'Creatures into Minecraft as the form it is downloaded as?
Sorry for all the questions, and thanks for the help.
Yes, you would install Forge just like ModLoader, and no, you would not need AudioMod.
Seasons Mod and Mo' Creatures haven't updated to 1.4.4 yet, only 1.4.2, which is what's causing your Minecraft to not work.
Mo' Creatures goes into the mods folder, like you had it (but for the different version). Seasons Mod would be installed just like Forge, but after it (again, for 1.4.2).

If I said I'd do something and haven't, please remind me; I didn't lie, I just forgot.

Ah thank you that would explain why the mods won't work for me. I did everything as I was told, but it wasn't working so it was getting a tad annoying.
Minecraft was working, just the mods aren't.
Do you know of any good ones that are updated for this version?
I haven't done much looking for new mods since 1.3.2. I do know about this thread, though, which is an incomplete list of updated mods. I also know this one is updated. Before rejecting it, know that there is a config so you don't have to be one if you don't want... :3

Nice, the list will give me some time to be looking through the mods.
The ClaySoldier mod seems pretty fun though.
Ok, so I downloaded a few of the mods from the list you gave me, put them in the mod folder, I force updated, and logged into minecraft, and they still aren't loading correctly. I am having no idea of why they aren't loading.
I downloaded Modloader, and Forge to use the mods.
Sorry I didn't post. I saw your original post, so didn't see any of your edit.
From what I can see, there can be two possible problems. In your WinRAR, I see the meta-inf folder. Did you delete that? When modding a client, it is required to delete that folder, but when modding a server, it is required to not delete it. (Kinda weird like that...) The other possibility is that one of the mods belongs inside the Minecraft jar, but I'm not sure if this is the case with those mods.

Retired StaffModLoader, I know about Forge, but I don't know if you can use them both at the same time, can you?
Ah, thank you. I found Plastic Craft in the most updated mod section, but I shall delete it now, thanks again.
What is the magic launcher that you speak of? I am fairly new to minecraft still.
