So far all of the directions I have seen assume you are windows or are a smart computer programmer. Could someone direct me or tell me in very plain english how to install mods - modloader etc etc.
For instance he would dearly love the Zepellin mod installed. I look it up here on your forum and am instantly stumped by:
Zepplin mod hasn't been updated past 1.2.5, so unless you still have an older version of Minecraft, it won't work regardless of if you figure out the process to do it.
Here is the thread for zeppelin: http://www.minecraft...ppelin-031-wip/
If you look at the thread title there is [1.2.5] that refers to the version of minecraft it is for, it won't work in other versions besides that one.
Now, as for installing mods. For anyone new to installing mods. I recommend using MultiMC, it's a different launcher for the game. It makes installing mods very simple. There are a few videos in the thread for MultiMC that explain how to use it.
MultiMC can also be used to downgrade the minecraft instance to an older version, so You could make a version of 1.2.5 minecraft that zeppelin mod would work with. It would just be missing the new minecraft features that have been added since 1.2.5

This mod requires ModLoader!
- Install ModLoader
- Place Zeppelin-client-&--#60;version&--#62;.zip in the /mods/ folder.
- (0.14+ only) Extract the specified class from mod_Zeppelin-client.zip, and put it in your minecraft.jar
- Done!
So I look at ModLoader to install that first.I do this bit:
1) Go to Applications>Utilities and open terminal.
2) Type in the following, line by line:
Back to Zepellin Mod:
WHERE is the dang minecraft.jar they are talking about????? Where are you supposed to have your mods/folder installed?
I'm too old for this . . . . .
