I recently moved spawn in my server world as the old one had become laggy for no apparent reason. Now the same thing is happening at new spawn.
My spawn has a spawn building and both admins' houses on top of a hill, and there's a large valley which the houses overlook. Lag on the hill is fine (over 30 FPS usually) but as soon as I enter the valley, my FPS drops like a stone. This isn't caused by excessive mobs or items, or lighting glitches (I personally checked).
I have attached configuration files and the world in question so whoever wants to can test it out for themselves and possible offer a solution.
Running the following mods: CC 1.47, MoCreatures 4.2.0, ChargePads build 51, Advanced Power Management build 40, Buildcraft 3.2.0, Forestry 1.6.2.0, GregTech for IC2 1.109, Nuclear Control 1.4.2, IC2 1.109, IronChest build 145, LiquidUU 0.7.3, MFFS 2.2.8.1.5, Portal Gun 1.4.4v0.1, Railcraft 6.8.0.0, Wireless Redstone for 1.4.5, WeaponMod 9.2, XBXL 3.5.0b, and Minecraft 1.4.5
How many things are in the area where it lags? I noticed that you have build craft and IC2 installed so maybe you have too many machines and too many things traveling in pipes at the same time.
If you think its not the machines and stuff, it might(probably isn't) be world corruption if you only get lag in small pockets of the world.

Not enough to warrant this amount of lag - I have just a couple of Railcraft engines feeding a carpenter and rolling machine at the moment. I'm not running 20 quarries off of 50 industrial steam engines, where this would be warranted.
