Hi, my game name is simpleton14, and my nephew wanted me to install minecraft sp. So i did by copying the .minecraft files and the launcher from my computer to his . The singleplayer works fine, but when i try multiplayer (on my nephew's computer) it says communication error. And when i click join server, it gives me an error:connect! The internet works fine, i tested it i could go on any website. What do i do?
Try force updating to have minecraft reinstall some files, not sure if some files are computer specific so force updating might do nothing.
What kind of server is it?
If its a public server make sure you have the ip correct and double check what version of minecraft they are hosting.
If its a private bukkit type server again make sure the ip is right and that there is a port open in the router to allow for people to connect.
If you just did that, then you won't be able to play online because of the anti-piracy it has.
You'll either have to create an account for him, or play offline. (Create an account means buy him the game).
