So I'm sure you guys all know what the double placing lag thing is where you click and it breaks or places two or more blocks instead of one. So I had this problem and so I downloaded optifine. So now I'm still having the same problem, but the strange thing is that I have a fps of 70 - 100, so why would it still be lagging this badly? On the lagmeter on optifine, every time I place a block the whole thing gets filled with red lag spikes. Optifine is the only mod I have. Thanks for any advice guys

I wouldnt use the lagmeter, for it is probably the one causing the lag

Thanks for responding I turned it off and it still is doing the same thing. In fact it seems to be getting worse each day:(
