Oh, and I should mention that it SEEMS to work just fine in Vanilla, but I haven't tested that extensively.
I have also tried turning certain mods off to see if it changes anything and no, it still crashes.
Lastly, I've been using these mods for as long as 1.4.2 has been out with no problems. The new ones are TF2_Teleporter_1.4.2a, TNT 1.4.2, NoteSelectionGuiv1.4.2.0, and PaintingSelectionGuiv1.4.2.2. These are, of course, the first ones I disabled, but it didnt help.
Try checking the amd site to see if there are newer drivers for your video card. Yes the amd site, not windows update. Win update is a big no no for graphics drivers.
It's likely something in one of the mods is using a function from a higher version of opengl then your current drivers support (Hopefully drivers, it could be your graphics card all together)
I'll have to do a little more testing to be sure, but I think it's the fault of the "SimpleHax" mod. I turned it off and everything else on, and it works fine. No idea why
