Okay, as the title says, Minecraft keeps crashing, and it's driving me insane.
Let me just get right down to it: I use an Nvidia Geforce GTX 590 for GPU, I've got 24 gigs of ram and a quad core i7 processor. I play with optifine 1.4, Rei's Minimap 1.4, and world downloader 1.4.
Here's what happens, basically I can be playing just fine for a while, and then sometimes I'll get that white screen all of a sudden and get a message saying something about "java se not responding" or something like that. Now I've known many people to have this problem, and no one's been able to figure out a solution for it. But for me it rarely happens, so I can get over it. Usually if I uninstall and then reinstall java, the problem goes away for several hours, before constantly repeating itself. This however, I could suck up and deal with.
What I can't deal with however, is my video card having to time out every two minutes or so that I play minecraft. basically, I get the message that nvidia had crashed but was able to recover. My screen goes black for five seconds, and minecraft is gone. I can sometimes go days without this ever happening, and then sometimes, it happens every few seconds. I don't understand the cause of this, and it's really frustrating me. If someone could help me out, I'd be really really grateful.
P.S. I'm using java 6, as I tried installing java 7 and it just made the crashes that much more frequent, or so it seemed.
Edit: Just remembered, my driver is up to date (306.97) and my antialiasing settings are set to application controlled.
Okay, here is the log that I receive after the Java SE errors. These logs don't show up if the video card times out. I don't think it's overheating either. I'm running on three of same ones, so if one is overheating, it'd just switch to the other one I'd imagine.
Anyways, here is that wonderful log of mine:

I hope this helps. Oh and, I'm using Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit with java 6 64 bit as well.
Computers aren't that smart. If there is a problem with one card, it's not going to magically switch to one of the other cards, the one with problems is going to crash and take the others with it. I had 1 card go bad in a x-fire setup and it would crash like you are describing. Took the one out, and the other did fine with out it. I'd think SLI setups work the same way.
However, your error looks different then a GPU issue. It actually looks like an error in the OS or java. Since you say you have installed java numerous times. You should make sure you have removed all other versions of java then the one you are using. If there is only the one version it could be the OS install itself.
There is always the chance that a memory error is causing problems too. wouldn't hurt to run memtest86 http://www.memtest.org/
There is nothing related to Minecraft that I can see in the portion of the error log you posted. The demand minecraft puts on your system may be the catalyst needed to show the problem, but from what I see it isn't minecraft related.

Retired StaffIf it is 64 bit are you using 64 bit java?
Do you have the latest drivers for your video card?
Is your video card over heating?
I'm guessing you are getting hs_err_pid####.txt error files (Java error Log) in the directory your launcher is.
Post the contents of one of those.
Anyways, here is that wonderful log of mine:
