Technic Launcher Version: 7.2.6 | 1.2.5 (Rec) OS: Windows 7 64 bit Java Version: Java 7 Update 9 (64-bit) [7.0.90]
Description of Problem: A few days ago Java prompted me that a new update was available, and so I went on the java site and downloaded the newest version. However after the update, my Minecraft (tekkit) started having extreme lag issues, dropping from a steady 20-30 fps down to 1-2 fps. Initially I thought that I installed a faulty update, and uninstalled all the Java programs installed on my computer so that I could redownload and reinstall.
Now after about 5 tries of repeatedly reinstalling the newest Java version from Oracle.com, my Minecraft is still running at 1-2 fps, and I'm all out of ideas. I can't remember what version of Java I had prior to the update, and I'm hesitant on doing a system restore on my laptop.
Any help would be much appreciated
(My laptop isn't the greatest, it has an i5 core at 2.53GHz (4 CPU), 4gig RAM, and Intel HD Graphics. Although the specs are fairly mediocre, I'm confident that even this piece of junk can do much better than 1-2 fps)
Tekkit should have optifine modded in it. Bring down your graphic settings to a minimal and slowly work your way up from there?

I dare you to move your cursor to the green box on the bottom left of these words, and give it a click. I would give you a diamond, but I've lost it.

I have already turned down all of my graphic settings using optifine. In fact, that was the only reason why I was getting 30 FPS before this, but now even with optifine I can't get anything higher than 3 FPS.
