I'm going to blame optifine for this one. Don't think it is for 1.4.2 already it's barly out.
Nope optifine's post has 1.4.2, just downloaded it, I also turned optifine off with magic launcher and tried still doing it, however the only other server i have thats updated works so it could be the server? But i dont see how.
I logged in to the server as "player" and it worked fine.
That is, untill i got to the area where my actual minecraft account is.
Then it black screened, and now it black screens even when i try to log in as player.
I think it's corrupted chunks or something, try logging in as player?
Just don't go near the area where your current charactor is for now.

What do you mean you logged in as a player? If you mean as not an admin I am not able to do that.
I'm pretty sure there are ways to fix corrupted chunks without having to start a new server.
Just saying, you could all try that instead of having to restart.

Retired StaffI already said I tried without optifine and magiclauncher, it isnt either of those, and yes I have talked to a few people who can play it just fine.
The server has to be on offline mode in order to do this, so you probably can't do it on a popular server.
Nope you were correct the server had corrupt chunks and we had to make a new map, everyone had this problem
Just saying, you could all try that instead of having to restart.
