So I didnt have kaspersky working and it worked fine. But when i installed Kaspersky it didnt work any more but it works in the browser so now i cant have any mods . if anyone can help me please do.
If so, you'll need to allow java access to the internet in Kaspersky.
Or, get rid of Kaspersky, and use Avast, which causes zero issues with minecraft.
no it doesn't work with it disabled and Ive tried but don't know how and I'm not getting rid of KasperskyI've also tried tekkit launcher, magic launcher, and minecraft launcher so its not the launcher :)And I also migrated my account if that has anything to do with it
It just tests if you are able to connect to the minecraft servers.
But since kaspersky is blocking that too. I think you ought to go to their support forums.
It's clearly the problem.
I can't help you with how to setup their software, maybe someone else here is familiar with kaspersky, but chances are a lot better someone there could help you sooner/better.
I had done a bit of searching on google, and I saw a number of other people that had problems with kaspersky blocking minecraft as well.

Retired StaffIf you've tried but don't know how to disable it, then you have no way of knowing if minecraft works or not with it disabled.
It won't matter what launcher you use, if kaspersky is blocking java, then none of them will work.
hope this helps u!
