I've had this before, I had to delete everything in my .minecraft folder and run the exe.
It was annoying.

The fact that you're not running vanilla is another problem, Minecraft has problems updating if you have mods installed.

It is most likely because you have mods installed. You dont need to delete your whole .minecraft (unless you edited the resource folder), and just delete the bin folder. Then try force-updating.
