I have a Acer Extensa 5630Z Notebook which has a GMA 4500M which is not precisely fantastic, but servers a decent ammount when it come with playing minecraft AT LEAST default settings:
The problem is, I get around 5 fps. I've tried setting it up at extremely poor settings such as RENDER: TINY, SMOOTH LIGTHING: 0%, GRAPHICS: FAST and default texture pack... the performance is still horrible. The only way it gets better is if I play with the default windows size when you launch the game, which is really small and unplayable.
So how do I fix this? I already updated the drivers to the latest version, im using Optifine (tried all Chunk Loading modes), and im using vertical sync: OFF. Any suggestions??
It's just not powerful enough to run MC anymore, the Java file for MC used to be 1800MB but it has grown to almost 5000MB now, the game is just getting more complicated and sadly your machine wont be able to keep up. You need a new computer is really what it boils down too.

The Java application uses about 600-900MB, not 1,800 and certainly not 5,000.
Also, I noticed the video the OP linked to is over a year old. MC has been through some heavy changes within the past year. I'm confident that's playing a fair role in the difference here.
Whaaaaat!?!?
The max usage of memory I have seen in MC (with a 256 tp, and more than 20 mods installed) is exactly 934 MB. And actually, in my computer, MC runs better if I allocate just 1 gb, than if I allocate more than 1 gb. I think your experiments went wrong at some point.
And OT... there is a point where the hardware is just not enough. I am not saying this is your case, since I don't know anything about your PC, but... sometimes it happens, and your only hope is getting a new one if you want to keep playing.
Anyway, I would suggest the usual, allocating more memory to MC, using Optifine, having Java completely updated, playing with the lowest settings, and, if that is not enough, maybe using a 8 bits texture pack.
I meant the Jar file, I'm just retarded pardon me Lol
Are you guys aware of what playing the game at RENDER DISTANCE: TINY means? It should deliver playable FPS at this setting by far.
The laptop on the video I provided on the OP is using exactly the same integrated graphics processor, so there is no excuse. Something weird is going on. I'll check if I have the latest Java version on there.

Explain why the guy in the Youtube video I posted is playing with decent framerate and not 5 FPS with the lowest possible settings.
