Hey, I downloaded the server from the site and followed the steps carefully, I've used many guides and been searching for a long time, but my launch.bat folder is not its normal icon instead it is the winrar icon
Now this doesn't seem like a big deal, but when I click on it, like i would when I'm trying to make the server i get this error. I can't seem to find a solution to this problem, thanks in advance to those who help.
You should move the launch.bat file to where you want your server files to be, a good place would be your Desktop in a folder called Server (or where ever, that's just an example), rather than a temporary folder that you'll probably never find.

I've already done this, still getting the same problem.
sorry I'm not really understanding, as I'm new to this, I shift+ right click the folder with the server contents, or a folder with just lauch.bat and not all the other stuff that comes with it? or the launch. bat itself? either way It doesn't give me an option to type. Once again sorry for my lack of knowledge on this subject
You should have a folder that you are going to place the server contents, and the launch.bat should be in that folder.
You should shift+right click the inside of the folder and choose open command window here. You should then type ./launch.bat
