I don't remember where questions have to go. Though I have a question about mods. So I go and I install minecraft, then I drag all files from Modloader into the jar delete meta.inf and run it again to install modloader.

I'm trying to install forge after that, but for some reason after I go back into the jarfile and copy all the files from forge into the bin I install but I get a black screen right away. I know I'm installing right but may I ask what is going on?

The current version of Forge no longer needs the standalone modloader and actually is incompatabile with it, so if you install both, this will happen.

I tried installing it alone as well I still get the black screen

start with a fresh copy of the jar then download and install the latest recommended build of forge. its hard to tell you anything without a log

Try posting a crash log. It is a lot easier to conclude what is going wrong if you post a crash log.

Thats the ting. There is no crash it just goes to a complete black screen and just sits there.
