Below is my 4th Minecraft crash report (at least). This is my first time trying to install mods and for the life of me I can't figure out why I keep getting this report. I'm running 1.3.2 and downloaded Risugami's ModLoader 1.3.2 using both winRAR and 7zip on 2 different pc's - my hp and my son's alienware.
When I search google to try to figure out what's up with the error (seems to be with java???), it's all Chinese to me. I have no experience with this stuff.
Please help!
To be specific about how I've been downloading:
I download the mod
browse to minecraft.jar and open using 7zip or winRAR
then i select all the files from the download folder (which I also open using 7zip or winRAR)
and drag and drop them into minecraft.jar (which i have already backed up)
then i delete META-INF
so, i first downloaded the ModLoader mod
then the AudioMod
then the GUI API Mod
then I tested and Minecraft ran fine
THEN, every time I try to install an actual non-utility mod - (I've tried mocreatures, grovesprites, and a yogscast pack), I get this same error report citing a problem with ModLoader and java.
There ya have it.
Please remember I'm a total novice. Everything I've learned so far has been by watching Paul Soares Jr. youtube vids and very carefully following the directions for how to download the mod every single time I try it. And every time I have to start over, I delete the modified Minecraft Jar folder and start fresh with the original, copying it again. UGH!
One last thing I can think of: I've been making sure that Minecraft is NOT running when I download and modify the jar file. So, what am I doing wrong???
Thank you so much for any advice!

Your error message indicates something you have requires Forge.. but neither Grove Sprites nor Mo' Creatures is available for Minecraft 1.3.2, and I don't see any Yogscast packs for 1.3.2 when I Google. So sounds like your biggest problem is not finding mods for your version of Minecraft.
Save yourself some trouble and grab MultiMC or Magic Launcher so you don't have to mess with the jar file.
Thanks, rivvest. I think you are right about Grove Sprites. Mo' Creatures 1.3.2 can be found here http://www.minecraftdl.com/mo-creatures-mod/. I just googled a Yogscast Yogbox and found what I think you're talking about so I don't have to mess with the jar file. This one's called Technic Launcher. And this Yogbox is supposed to contain Mo' Creatures as part of the pack, so I guess I'll try that. If that fails, I will try MultiMC or Magic Launcher. Thanks so much for your advice. I'll post again after to report what happens. THANK YOU!

My friend, i am the owner of a successful modding company so believe me when i say : DONT TRUST TECHNIC OR TEKKIT OR MINECRAFTDL!! Tekkit and Technic are illegal modpacks that update the mods without permission. Minecraftdl is a lying son of a [profanity="bitch"]. dont try those mods till they come out man.

Curse Premiumminecraftdl lies about versions to grab extra hits and get money. Never trust that site, always go to the source of the mod (usually here)!
