You should be able to kill the process in task manager.
If you have win 7 you can right click on the task bar, in an open area, then choose start task amanager.
If you are on vista or xp, you need to press ctrl + alt + delete
Find mcpatcher in the process list then hit 'End Process" down on the bottom of the window.
