My son tried to mod his minecraft himself today, which has caused problems.
I am trying to get some of his mods back. I reset the minecraft.jar file through the options button. The game will work fine. Then I add modloader, and the game will not make it to the "mojang" splash. (I did delete the Meta-INF). Then I went and copied his "saves" and and texture packs folders and re-loaded minecraft. We are having the same issue. THe game will work fine until I "mod" it, and then it does not load. I re-downloaded mod loader to make sure I had something that might be close to the current version... Any ideas?
It makes modding a lot easier. There are 2 videos in the opening post of that thread, that explain the process very well.
If you still want to try it with the default launcher, I'll need an error log to see what the problem is.
You can use the advanced error logger from here: http://www.minecraft...aft-error-test/
Make sure he / you downloaded the 1.3.2 version of the mod, and not a later version. Re-download it just to be safe.
Then, try re-installing the newly downloaded modloader.
Re-Download all of the mods, making sure they're the correct versions, and installing them one by one.
