My stepson loves Minecraft and wants to add mods. We have Minecraft 1.3.2 and work on an iMac with OSX Snow Leopard 1.6.8
He wants to install Magic Launcher to be able to add mods to Minecraft and for the life of me I don't know where to get it or how to install it (I am a 52 year old with no knowledge of this stuff). Can someone help an old lady figure this out?
We have watched a few tutorials on you-tube but I am only more confused. I need step by step instructions.
I have tried to read other posts on this forum but I just don't know enough to decipher what they mean. Any help would make my day!
I'm not very familiar with the Magic Launcher nor am I with Mac's but perhaps I could try to help you out with that,
First you must download the Magic Launcher(Mac Version) from Here(Then click, Download MagicLauncher_0.9.9.zip).
Next download the Mod you wish to install, keep in mind that many Mods require you have Rigusami's Mod Loader, which you can download Here(Keep in mind that Rigusami's Mod Loader is just a Mod that you can install with the Magic Launcher, so feel free to test it out with that).
Once you have that downloaded, go back to the Magic Launcher and click Add, then go to where the mod you downloaded is Located, probably in your Downloads folder, I am not sure where that is on Mac.
Then just click Open and it should be on the list of mods, make sure it is checked.
Keep in mind that this is just what I would assume you'd have to do, I have not tried out the Magic Launcher yet, but it seems pretty straightforward.
Edit: I have just tried this with the Rigusami's Mod Loader and it worked just fine.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
And if this doesn't work for you, you could always try installing mods the traditional way, which isn't really much harder.

By the way, it is very easy to find downloads to Mods but just typing their names in Google.com, for instance I typed "Magic Launcher" in Google and the first thing that came up was the Thread for the Magic Launcher, which contained the Download Link.
